Scott earned his degree in marketing from Syracuse University’s School of Management and serves on the executive board of its alumni association.
Prior to forming Bloom Real Estate Group, Mr. Bloom spent fifteen years at Newmark and GVA Williams (now Colliers) gaining leasing and sales experience representing both landlords and tenants; sellers and purchasers.
Since 1989, he has fulfilled the diverse needs of owners and users in the acquisition and disposition of commercial space. As an owner representative, he has boosted occupancy in every assignment, improving rates from as low as 55% to as high as 97%-100%. In addition to serving as exclusive leasing agent for office buildings such as Carnegie Hall Tower, 1776 Broadway and 400 Madison Avenue, he has successfully completed more than 2,000 leasing and sales transactions.
As tenant representative, Mr. Bloom successfully assisted space users from Belgium, Germany, Japan, Italy, China, England, and elsewhere, even earning the prestigious Real Estate Board of New York Retail Deal of the Year award.
In addition to donating dollars, Scott proudly serves as (Board or at large) active member of dozens of industry, non-profit and charitable organizations including the REBNY Grand Central Committee. Alzheimer's Association Judy Fund, Young Men’s/Women’s Real Estate Association, Crohn's + Colitis Foundation, City Athletic Club, High School for Leadership and Public Service, NY Blood Center, National Institute for People with Disabilities, EtaSam Foundation and many others.
A Knicks season subscriber since 1991, Mr. Bloom lives in Manhattan with his wife, Lisa. They enjoy golf locally and abroad.(917) 327-2109
